Full-time Bilingual Advocate (English/Spanish)

Position requires knowledge, experience, and ability to:
 Understand and support victims of sexual assault through crisis calls, emergency room support and accompaniment, short-term crisis intervention and court accompaniment
 Provide crisis intervention for victims (24/7 Crisis Line, Emergency Room, On-Call Support)
 Serve as interpreter on behalf of Rape Response and survivors of sexual assault
 Collaborate with community resources and agencies to facilitate access to existing services
 Participate in recruitment and training of volunteers for 24/7 crisis line
 Participate in prevention education programs to meet the needs of collaborative agencies and community organizations in the six-county area of Northeast Georgia
 Support staff and volunteers toward the mission of Rape Response
 Live within 30 minutes of Northeast Georgia Medical Center’s Gainesville location

Position requires Bilingual (English/Spanish). Bachelor’s degree in human service field: social work, psychology, criminal justice or related field or equivalent work experience. Must have strong organizational, written, communication and computer skills. Must be capable of working independently and travel within six county service area. Must be fluent in Spanish. Knowledge of trauma informed principles and prior experience working directly with survivors is preferred.

This is a grant funded full-time position with benefits, 40 hours weekly. Full-time applicants only. Rape Response is an environment that values work-life balance, however we are a 24/7 agency so night and weekend work will be required.

Contract Prevention Educator

Position requires:
 Bachelor’s degree in education, human service field, psychology, social and behavioral sciences or related field
 Experience/comfort working with teenagers
 Experience/comfort working in education
 Ability to respect and maintain confidentiality
 Ability to work with other educators on the Prevention Education team
 Ability to work effectively with people from all socio-economic, religious and cultural backgrounds
 Ability to work a flexible schedule
 Excellent organizational skills
 Ability to compile feedback on programming and respond with any appropriate changes
 Computer skills to include Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

This program is a priority for Rape Response throughout the six county service area: Dawson, Forsyth, Habersham, Hall, Lumpkin and White Counties.

Prefer: minimum of 3 years experience in public speaking/education

Compensation: This is a grant funded independent contractor position, classes vary weekly and are heavier during the school year.

Contract educators are paid $25 per each class taught (typically 4-6 classes on scheduled days) and receive a mileage reimbursement of .575 per mile traveled to each school in our six county service area.
