Bilingual Advocate
Advocate must reside within 20 miles or a 30-minute drive to Gainesville, GA. The hourly, full-time position with benefits is responsible for direct advocacy services to survivors of sexual assault and their significant others, using Spanish-speaking, bilingual skills when needed. Applicants must have the ability to perform individually and within a team of staff and volunteers who respond to 24/7 emergency services that includes days, nights and weekend crisis line response and emergency room accompaniment. Position includes interpreter, translator, and accompaniment roles, as well as outreach, support, and engagement in the Hispanic community. Ability to cultivate partnerships, enhance networks and streamline access and referral to community resources is essential. Initial and ongoing training compliance is significant and requires both face-to-face and online participation in varied schedules. Must have the ability to input and report data using various software and experience with Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in human services, social work, psychology, or a related field. Will consider commensurate experience. Some evenings and weekends required. Cover letter and resume required.
- Serve as interpreter for RRI and victims of sexual assault and their significant others
- Receive referrals and provide services to victims who can benefit from advocacy by a Spanish-speaking person
- Accompaniment/Assistance with U-Visa process
- Translate and develop resources focused on informing and supporting the Hispanic Community; collaborate with other program staff for excellent internal referrals and ongoing development of community resource database
- Create, enhance and/or maintain networks with community agencies and service providers, focusing on partnerships to streamline access, locate and offer services to victims and secondaries of the Hispanic community.

Other duties are assigned related to direct service operations and compliance, as well as participation in various aspects of engagement in community networking, outreach, education, and public awareness. Contract Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE)
The Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) at Rape Response, Inc. is a Registered or Advanced Practice Nurse who has received specialized training in addressing the complex medical and forensic needs of patients who have experienced sexual violence or abuse. The Rape Response SANE is committed to providing culturally sensitive, developmentally appropriate and trauma informed care to optimize the acute and long-term health outcomes of all clients served. This position is responsible for collaborating with law enforcement, advocates and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely delivery of Forensic Medical Services to adult/adolescent reporting and non-reporting patients. The Contract SANE will provide services as needed during their scheduled on-call shifts. Examiners will receive an hourly on-call rate and an examination fee for exams completed. Potential candidates must agree to and will be responsible for fulfilling a minimum number of contracted shifts per month. Shifts may be nights, weekends, and occasional holidays between 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am.
Preferred qualifications:
- Current Georgia Registered Nurse (RN) License
- A minimum of 1 year of nursing/ direct patient care experience
- BLS certification
- Individual liability insurance
- Completion of International Association of Forensic Nurses (IAFN) approve SANE adult/adolescent didactic and clinical training (Interested candidates may be eligible for free didactic training upon contracting with Rape Response SANE Program)

Contract Prevention Educator
Contract Educators teach our Let’s Talk© curriculum to middle and high school students, parents, and teachers throughout our six-county service area: Dawson, Forsyth, Habersham, Hall, Lumpkin & White Counties. This position has flexible and variable hours and requires travel throughout our service area. Classes are taught both in person and virtually. This is a grant funded part time independent contractor position, classes vary weekly and are heavier during the school year. The majority of classes are scheduled weeks-months ahead of time. Contract educators are paid $30 per class taught (typically 4 classes on scheduled days – occasionally up to 6) and receive a mileage reimbursement of .655 per mile traveled to and from each school in our six-county service area. A rate of $15 for training, observing and meetings is provided.
Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or current enrollment in college working toward a bachelor’s degree) in education, human service field, psychology, social and behavioral sciences, or related field
- Experience/comfort working with teenagers
- Experience/comfort working in education
- Experience/comfort in public speaking
- Computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
